44

ah, how time flies. its been 44 good months my dear, and thank you for all the joy (and angst) you brought to my life. you are just oh-so-special <3

this month-niversary, we went down to nex for dinner at Tomato&Grill (or sth like that). My 2nd time trying it and its the boy's 1st! my previous impression of it was not too bad, and its pretty affordable, like $10.90 for Sirloin Steak with aglio olio pasta (: it doesnt taste fantastic (you can't expect it to anyway), but its pretty decent for its price (:

enough said, time for some pictures!

some camwhoring before the food came, how mighty hungry were we! (:

and the 1st "dish" was their mushroom soup, which was really really yummy.
there were even mushroom bits inside! YUMTUMS!

then the mains came. didnt manage to take a nice shot of either main course because i only realized that i forgot to take photo after we started eating, but anyhow... (:

this is pork chop with sausage and aglio olio. oops the sausage was in the boy's tummy /: this costs $9.90 (excluding the set which has a drink and the soup).

and this was my Sirloin steak with aglio olio ($10.90). the steak was kinda hard though ):

and this is proof how hungry we were! (or at least the boy)
JUST-LOOK-AT-THE-WAY-HE-EATS! teehee. <3

shall end off now. need to sleep and get onto my exercise regime (:

It's NTU's reading week and my post-exams (:

I am really lucky to have met these people <33 now, we are only missing 2 people: Alicia and Terence, who's in usa. CANT WAIT TO MEET UP WITH EVERYONE AGAIN (:

Phoebe's 20th

This post is so belated, but heck, still have to post it because it was Phoebe's big 20th birthday (:  We decided to celebrate it on the day we went for the 881 Musical, which was surprisingly extremely funny. As the NUS-ers were craving for XLB, we decided to drag the bunch to DTF for some yummy treats! Also, I decided to bring my baby out to shoot more photos of the awesome bunch!

 Happy birthday birthday girl!
Her cupcake from.. i cant rmb which shop we got it from. but it was a nice greentea cake base with green tea flavoured cream and azuki beans. YUMSSS!

our 7 years of friendship. <3
and i shall end off with a photo collage made by denise, using LemeLeme and Photomess. SIMPLY LOVE THE LOMO EFFECTS ON THE IPHONE <3

biennale loving

its april already?

time flies, in a blink of an eye and its april already. means, YEAR 1 IS ENDING!!!! while this is the crazy exam period, i've decided to take some time out to blog a little, partly due to my slight guilt of not maintaining this, and partly to destress (though i haven't touched a single textbook today). but anyhow, this post is going to be more on the Singapore Biennale 2011.

The first (and last) time i went to the Singapore Biennale was sooo many years ago! then, i went with my loveliest friends and it was a blast. Thus, this year, i decided to go again, with Dan-The-Man.

Singapore Biennale was around for many years already, and i missed out a great deal of it. This year, SB2011 is held at 4 different locations(SAM@8Q. National Singapore Museum, Old Kallang Airport and the Merlion Park) , of which, i only went to three (all but Old Kallang Airpot). Yes yes, we were too laaazzzyyy to step out of town, even though there was a free shuttle bus service. To find out more about SB2011, check out the website here!

Anyway, this time round, i brought along my Baby, the brand new Olympus E-PL1 to shoot the pretty art pieces. I have used film, compact cameras and DSLRs before, but had never handled a micro- four thirds, so i have no idea what to expect. While the picture quality is awesome (and its not THAT noisy in low light), I would have preferred other controls (like a dial etc etc). Oh well, given that its such an old model and that i got it at a really really low price, i can't complain too much, can i?

Enough typing, let the pictures do the talking (:

 At SAM & SAM@8Q

CREEEPPYYYYY. think i will be shocked awake if i dream of this at night! hahaha.
this is some bookcase with mirrors on both ends, make it seem as though its an endless book tunnel. totally loved the idea behind it!

Dan the Man actively trying to shoot photos, and the face on the wall is staring at him! HAHAHAHA
OH! i took this straight from the video they were slowing. the clarity, is.... just awesome.

At the Merlion Park (and on the way there!)
grainy effect, courtesy of the Baby. like the vintage feel of it!
haha, he looks like an angel here ((:

NSM! which to me, was the most boring /:

tried this zooming effect without a tripod, argh. that's why its kind of blur. its okay, TRIPOD NEXT TIME! (not forgetting its weight /: )

these were probably the prettiest exhibits at NSM. <3ed them!
